Dhaka Bank Engages Youth with Financial Literacy and Digital Payment Awareness at AUST
A special seminar on Financial Literacy and Digital Payment facilities for Youth was held on 19 January 2026 at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) on the occasion of the university’s Winter Folk Fest.
The seminar featured insightful speeches from Mr. Md. Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director & CEMO, and Mr. H. M. Mostafizur Rahaman, SEVP & Head of Retail Business Division of Dhaka Bank PLC, along with Ms. Zakia Sultana, Director, Mastercard, Bangladesh.
The session was also graced by Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Dr. Sharmin Reza Chowdhury, Treasurer of AUST.
Speakers highlighted the importance of financial literacy, the growing role of digital transactions, and the everyday benefits of the Spark Mastercard Prepaid Card and Student Accounts designed especially for young students.
As part of the event, Dhaka Bank set up a promotional booth on campus, creating strong student engagement through direct interaction, on-spot account opening, registration and activation of the Spark Mastercard Prepaid Card, and awareness sessions on secure digital payments.
Dhaka Bank representatives engaged directly with students to introduce the benefits of Student Accounts and the Spark Mastercard Prepaid Card, promoting safe, convenient, and globally accepted digital payment solutions tailored for young customers.
Dhaka Bank PLC plans to continue similar youth-focused engagement programs across universities in Bangladesh to expand digital payment awareness and promote the usage of Spark Mastercard Prepaid Cards among the country’s young generation.
