Dhaka Bank conducts training on “Cash Operations & Note Management”
Recently Dhaka Bank PLC has conducted a training program titled “Cash Operations & Note Management”. The training was jointly organized by Dhaka Bank Training Institute (DBTI) and Operations Division, Head Office On February 7, 2026, Saturday. The program was designed for good number of Officials from different Branches of the Bank to enhance operational efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance and strengthen best practices in cash handling and currency management.
Mr. K.M Ibrahim, Director, Department of Currency Management of Bangladesh Bank inaugurated the training program as Chief Guest while Mr. A.M.M Moyen Uddin, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Dhaka Bank presided over the inaugural ceremony. Mr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, EVP & Head of Operations Division was also present.
In his address, Mr. K.M Ibrahim called upon all Cash Officials to work with dedication, follow regulatory directives and serve customers with utmost sincerity while exchanging various notes through over-the-counter. He further added that Bangladesh Bank Note Refund regulation-2025 has been circulated among the schedule banks to achieve effective cash management operations across the country. Mr. A.M.M Moyen Uddin, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Dhaka Bank advised all Cash Officers to follow various Bangladesh Bank circulars and Bank’s internal guidelines to maintain effective cash management procedure and urged the bankers to encourage customer to use bank’s mobile apps to reduce time as well as less use of physical cash. Mr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman, EVP & Head of Operations also spoke on the occasion.
Mr. K. M. Ibrahim, Director, Department of Currency Management, Bangladesh Bank conducted the sessions as the key speaker. His sessions covered regulatory guidelines, identification of counterfeit and unfit notes, proper cash handling procedures, claim settlement processes, internal control mechanisms, Bangladesh Bank Note Refund Regulation -2025 and audit compliance standards.
