DHAKA BANK PLC. AND MASHREQBANK PSC, UAE, SIGN MASTER TRADE LOAN AGREEMENT TO STRENGTHEN TRADE FINANCE COLLABORATION

Dhaka Bank PLC. has signed a Master Trade Loan Agreement (MTLA) with Mashreqbank PSC, UAE, marking another milestone in the longstanding partnership between the two financial institutions that dates back to 1995.

The signing ceremony took place at Dhaka Bank’s Head Office on the 28th of July, 2026, where Mr. Osman Ershad Faiz, Managing Director of Dhaka Bank PLC., and Ms. Sharifa Mohamed, Regional Head of FI – Asia, Mashreqbank PSC, UAE, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

The agreement will further enhance cooperation between the two institutions in facilitating trade and strengthening Dhaka Bank’s access to international financial support for cross border transactions.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Osman Ershad Faiz expressed his appreciation for the continued partnership with Mashreqbank and highlighted the importance of such collaborations in expanding trade finance capabilities and delivering value to customers.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both organizations, including Mr. Akhlaqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director and Mr. Abu Jahid Ansary, Head of International Division of Dhaka Bank PLC., Mr. Suvadeep Sinha, Senior Vice President, Corporate Credit, Mashreqbank, UAE, Ms. Fahmida Sharmeen, Chief Country Representative, Mashreqbank Bangladesh, along with other officials.

The agreement represents a significant step in advancing institutional partnership between Dhaka Bank PLC. and Mashreqbank PSC, UAE, while reflecting the confidence and mutual trust built over three decades of relationship.
